Why am I running?

Why

I’ve lived and worked here for 20 years and believe District 26B has the best of what Minnesota has to offer. My family put down roots here, and we can’t imagine a better place to live. But it’s time to acknowledge that many of us are facing significant challenges in a world that’s changing rapidly. We need to ensure the health, safety and education of every resident. Everyone — whether you are a first-generation immigrant or part of a multi-generational farm family — deserves an effective state government and elected representatives who care about providing quality of life for all. It will be an honor to serve as your trusted voice in the State House.

Pursuing goals that matter

State lawmakers are asked to represent you in St. Paul and make many, many decisions that impact our region and quality of life. Our district deserves a state representative focused on achieving the goals that WE value and the problems that WE want to solve: A stronger economy for everyone. A better equipped and healthier workforce. Kids who feel safe and supported at school and at home.

How would I achieve results?

I have spent many years connecting with and listening to the amazing people who live and work in this region. I believe that state government doesn’t have to be a or zero-sum game with winners and losers. I will use my analytical and collaborative approach to help forge effective partnerships and sensible solutions for the complex challenges that we are facing. By doing so, we can bring the best ideas and people together to shape and create equitable policies that improve and strengthen our communities, our workforce and our economy.

When we have entirely equitable systems, we will see measurable benefits for our community.
